Brazil Airlines TAM, Gol Face Strike Threat Over Christmas

TAM SA and Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA, Brazil’s two largest airlines, faced a threatened strike Dec. 23 right before the pre- Christmas travel rush. Gol said it would maintain its flight schedule on Dec. 23, while TAM has not commented at press time. Brazil’s national air worker union has been in talks seeking a pay raise since September.
