United Airlines will launch weekly, non-stop service from New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport New to Saint Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport beginning July 13, 2013, according to the St. Lucia Tourist Board. The Saturday-departing flights will utilize Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Flights will depart Newark on Saturdays at 8:55am, arriving in St. Lucia at 1:48pm; return flights will depart Saint Lucia on Saturdays at 2:38pm and arrive in Newark at 7:33pm. The new service provides connections at Newark Liberty to 22 U.S. cities including, Chicago, Boston, and Washington, D.C., plus Canadian gateways in Ottawa and Quebec.
“This new partnership will help make Saint Lucia even more accessible for travelers from many of the island’s major gateways in the Northeast, Midwest and West Coast as well as provide added convenience for connections with a number of new markets,” said Louis Lewis, the Saint Lucia Tourist Board’s director of tourism.
