On Wednesday, April 9, 2008, the annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares charity event was held. Steele Luxury Travel was a surprise sponsor of this event. Over 600 people attended the year’s most fashionable annual benefit held at Espace in New York City. The evening had such a beautiful flow and purpose. A silent auction with every luxury item imaginable adorned the white linen tables. Vacations, jewelry, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences were all part of the smorgasbord.
The evening was hosted by Jeffrey Kalinsky of the Jeffrey boutique and co-hosted by Chairs Dan Rothmann of Dolce and Gabbana, Todd Sears of Merrill Lynch, and Chris Wile of Prada. Almost all proceeds from the evening went to benefit Lamdba Legal, the Hetrick-Martin Institute, and the GMHC.
Before the show began, the fierce-tranny himself, Christian Siriano from Project Runway, acted as le auctioneer du soir. Steele Luxury Travel sponsored the evening’s most valuable prize: a trip on Steele’s trip to Buenos Aires for Gay Pride in November 2008. The package went for $9,000! The evening then proceeded with a super fashion show provided by Jeffrey’s Boutique.
The entire event was top notch; the vibe was sweet, the spirits were flowing. Fashion for a great cause. A great THANK YOU to all those who made this Manhattan evening such a wonderful event! The evening raised over $500,000 for these charities! Steele Luxury Travel is a proud sponsor of this and has already committed to next year!
