The Buenos Aires Tango Recap!
Spicy, sexy, and full of cultural flavor, Buenos Aires did not disappoint as the destination of our most recent indulgence. After arrival and private car transportation, the group was pre-checked into luxurious suites at the Faena Hotel + Universe and was immediately swept away by the service and decadence of the Philippe Starck-designed property that would become home for the duration of our stay. After settling in, we set out into the city for a traditional Argentinean meal and a tour encompassing the different neighborhoods of Buenos Aires which included a walk through the cemetery where Evita’s mausoleum is located.
Then it was back to the hotel for a 4-course gourmet dinner followed by the incredibly sexy ROJO Tango show. We were taken aback by the emotion and the intensity of the dancers. After the show, it was on to the Bahrain nightclub to check out the nightlife of Buenos Aires and for some much needed dancing. A midnight fashion show surprised us when group of beautiful scantily clad men and women trotted down an elevated runway.
The following day, we took the train out of the city to the suburbs for a relaxing boat ride along the Delta del Tigre, followed by a delicious lunch and a stroll through the local flea market. Then it was back to the hotel to spend the afternoon by the pool listening to the relaxing yet modern sound of the live DJ while we rested up for the highlight of the weekend: Creamfields. Imagine one of the largest outdoor music festivals in the world bringing together almost 50,000 people and the greatest international DJs from around the globe. We danced until the sun came up and then retreated back to the sanctuary of the Faena.
Of course the party did not end at Creamfields. Our final day included 5-star Faena spa treatments as well an authentic Turkish Hammam experience. We were now ready to check out the San Telmo district for the Sunday afternoon pool party at the Axel Hotel. Delicious cocktails, beautiful weather, and great music created the perfect atmosphere to socialize and relax with. After the pool party, we had arranged for a tranquil Scandinavian dinner under the stars at https://steeletravel.comOlsen in Palermo Soho as we reminisced on the past weekend’s festivities.
