Yes, there is another White Party, so before you pack away your tighty-whities, why not keep a good thing rolling and check out Palm Springs’s premier gay event? Go west, young man!
Anybody who has been to a circuit party knows what to expect for this one. Yes, there’s music. Yes, there’s food. Yes, there’s sex—lots of it. So where are you going to stay? With several of my articles, I recommend booking rooms early. With this article, I’m going to forego the obvious Palm Springs subjects and be a bit more practical. Here’s the Dane Steele Green-approved “Places to Stay in Palm Springs” White Party round-up.
INNdulge
Inndulge.com
You just gotta love the name.
Located in Warm Sands, the gay residential part of town, the INNdulge is typical of a lot of properties in Palm Springs: one story, with the 1950’s vibe that is characteristic of the city. Ringing a pool and Jacuzzi, the 24 rooms and “garden suites” are clean, cool, relaxed, technology-ed out the wazoo and offer a spectacular view of the San Jacinto Mountains. There’s even a gym and business center.
Escape
Escapepalmsprings.com
Palm Springs may be firmly landlocked, but the Escape is downright beach-like in feel and presentation. Hidden behind leafy arbors and stands of ever-present palm trees, the Escape is one of the oldest resorts of its kind in the city. Sparklingly white inside and out, the airy suites come with kitchens and plush leather seating to stand with any chain hotel.
Tortuga del Sol
Tortugadelsol.com
Winner of Out & About Travel’s “Four Palm Award,” the Tortuga is in more exclusive Tahquitz River Estates neighborhood of Palm Springs. This one is by far the homey-est of Palm Springs’s gay resorts, and is refreshingly lacking in attitude or any sense of urgency. You just sit by the pool and relax. Leafy and arboreal, with Native American motifs and patterns adding to the ambience, the Tortuga is also a stone’s throw from the town’s gay attractions and clubs.
Oh, did I mention they’re all naked? Yeah, they’re all naked. See, one of Palm Springs’s perks is that of the 27 gay-specific hotels is that 25 are what is delicately termed “clothing optional.” All kinds of bodies, provided it has the prerequisite parts, welcome. Please, did you think I was going to recommend just any ol’ hotel? Oh ye of little faith.  Steele Luxury Travel Loves Palm Springs and can assist with discounted business class airfare and fantastic hotels for your mini vacation!
