Mexicana Suspends Ticket Sales But Says Flights Continue to Fly

August 6, 2010

Mexicana has suspended its flight sales but continues to operate its flights as scheduled to protect its passengers, it said in a posting on its website today. The airline began bankruptcy proceedings earlier this week in New York and Mexico City but said that it would continue to operate as normal. It also began negotiating with its unions.

Separately, ARC said that since Mexicana has suspended all ticket sales, ARC has stopped processing transactions for the airline effective immediately and until further notice. Travel agents can contact ARC’s Customer Care Center at 703-816-8003 or email [email protected] with any questions. For more ARC information, visit www.arccorp.com.

Mexicana’s domestic flights continue to operate and can be purchased normally. Domestic flights are operated by Click and Link, CMA’s independent sister airlines, and are not affected by this process. There are no changes on domestic flights. For updated information, visit www.mexicana.com.
