Lufthansa Reports 100,000 Facebook Fans

Facebook said that it now has 100,000 fans on Facebook, after launching its profile on the social networking platform last December. Facebook fans still have until Oct. 18 to try their luck for a chance to win one of 10 prizes of 100,000 Miles & More award miles, and other including Rimowa suitcases or iPod nanos.

Lufthansa Facebook fans can network with the airline, swap information and pick up special offers and promotions. Lufthansa Facebook fans were, for example, the first to be informed about the chance to book a seat on the inaugural flights operated by the A380, or to obtain exclusive on-site coverage in Palma about the special A380 flight to Mallorca. In addition, fans could see exclusive, behind-the-scenes photos from a TV commercial shot at Lufthansa Technik’s maintenance hangar in Munich for the German TV entertainment show, “Wetten Dass,” hosted by Thomas Gottschalk.
