Google Introduces New Flight Search Function www.SteeleTravelBlog.com

September 15, 2011
Google has introduced a flight search function that lets consumers enter their travel parameters — route, dates and price range — and see a list of options of flights, prices and costs. You can keep filtering you options by airline, departure time, layover and other elements and then book the trip on the airline’s own website. Google says that results are not influenced by any paid relationships.

The flight search service comes five months after the Department of Justice approved Google’s acquisition of ITA Software, a major air search engine.

The search is a simple function — just type in you city pair in Google, with no need to go to a particular page, and you get a lengthy list of choices, dates to fill in, preferred pricing and flight duration. For more information, visit www.google.com.
