A flight attendant traveling through Los Angeles International Airport ran away from security last Friday as officials began to investigate her carry-on baggage.

After further investigation, her bags were found to contain 60 pounds of cocaine.
According to Andrew Blankstein of NBCNews.com, the woman showed up to the LAX airport for her flight Friday and was pulled aside by Transportation Security Administration officers for a random search at Terminal 4.

The woman was carrying two carry-on roller bags, and while flight attendants aren’t usually subjected to searches, she was chosen at random. The attendant reportedly became nervous and made a call on her cell phone in a language that security officials could not understand.

As the flight attendant was taken to a secondary screening area, she started to run toward the exits, leaving behind her bags and a pair of her Gucci shoes as she left the terminal. The entire incident was captured on video, and the cocaine was booked into evidence.

NBCNews.com is reporting that the Los Angeles Airport Police, the LAPD and the Drug Enforcement Administration are formally investigating the incident.
