Ice cream, being delicious and completely horrible for you, is a guilty pleasure we aren’t quite sure is helped with an $817 per scoop price tag.

Business Insider introduces us to the Black Diamond, which is a dessert you can enjoy at Dubai’s Scoopi Café.

Although calling this item a dessert is a bit of a misnomer, because it’s more of a reason to liquidate some assets.

Ordering it means you will get to enjoy ingredients such as “Italian truffles, ambrosial Iranian saffron and edible 23-karat gold flakes,” via Business Insider.

But it also means you will have to part with a reported $817 for the scoop of ice cream.
Here is a video of it being made, illustrating that it is most definitely not Chunky Monkey, a dessert that tastes like $817.

here is, as the Huffington Post points out, some conjecture as to whether this is the world’s most expensive ice cream or just your average, run-of-the-mill ice cream with an insane markup. We say it’s at the very least a little pricey.

Now we all love our edible gold and takeaway Versace bowls. Those are perhaps the first things we look for when entering any number of ice cream parlors worldwide.

However, we may just stick to chasing down ice cream trucks as they barrel down the street. With those conveyances of wicked treats, five bucks will get you a veritable treasure trove of goodies.
Then again, we may need to spend nearly a thousand bucks on other things, like rent. To those who have the means and are a bit weary from the hot weather, pop into Scoopi, which has more details on Facebook.
