All United Airlines flights in the U.S. were grounded on Wednesday.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground stopĀ alert at 7:49 a.m. Wednesday morning, saying they were alerted by United of a systemwide issue.
“We experienced a network connectivity issue this morning,” a United spokesperson said shortly after 9 a.m. EST. “We are working to resolve this and apologize to our customers for any inconvenience.”
The ground stop affects all of United’s mainline flights. United Express, the airline’s regional partner, has been released from the ground stop, but since most of those flights are connectors to United hubs, they will all likely be impacted by the computer issues.
