American continues with upgrades on its Boeing 757 fleet with new in-flight entertainment and A/C power ports being completed at the carrier’s Tulsa maintenance base.The carrier operates roughly 124 of the type, with 18 completed and configured for international operations with lie-flat seats and video on-demand in first class.American is in the process of a cabin improvement programme for its domestic 757 fleet that includes new lavatories and sidewalls and new power ports.On first class in international amenities available to passengers are lie-flat first class seats and audio video on demand.On both international and domestic American will ultimately offer flights with new flat screen un-retractable TV screens available in the aisles in coach class, says Troy Sokolowski, maintenance manager of five and six at the carrier’s Tulsa site. He says roughly seven to eight domestic aircraft have been completed in addition to the 18 international 757s.
