Alaska Airlines has launched a half-dozen non-stop routes, including service between Seattle and Colorado Springs, Colo.; new non-stop flights between Portland, Ore., and Tucson, Ariz.; and daily service between Boise, Idaho, and San Diego, Calif.
In addition, on Nov. 7 service will begin between Seattle and Omaha, Neb. On Nov. 8, new routes will service Portland and Reno/Tahoe, Nev. Promotions have been announced to celebrate and kick-off all of the new routes, including one-way fares starting from $99 between Boise and San Diego.
The airline’s new service to Reno/Tahoe will host 1998 Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley as he flies from Portland to Squaw Valley. Moseley is the area’s chief mountain host and recently competed on “Skating with the Stars.” Alaska Airlines previously operated service between Portland and Reno in 2009, and service between Portland and Tucson in 2003.
Alaska Airlines has been serving Boise airport for the past 30 years, so the new Boise to San Diego service is a welcome addition, according to Boise airport officials. With increased frequencies to both Portland and Seattle and the new nonstop to San Diego, Alaska Airlines offers convenient, high-quality travel options for Boise travelers.
