Airberlin, Germany’s second-largest airline, is offering nonstop flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Berlin for the first time with the start of the winter timetable 2011-12. From Nov. 2, 2011, those travelling with airberlin will be able to get to the largest international airport in New York City directly from Berlin Tegel Airport three times a week. Airberlin will also offer non-stop flights to New York in the winter from Dusseldorf.
In addition to the New York flights, it will also be possible to book flights for the winter 2011-12 to Miami. Airberlin will offer flights to Miami four times a week from Dusseldorf, while airberlin’s jets will be taking off from Berlin Tegel to Miami three times a week. The second U.S. destination in Florida is Fort Myers, where the airline offers flights three times per week from Dusseldorf.
Those who book early will be able to secure tickets at attractive prices. Airberlin will be offering a booking special from Jan. 27 to Feb. 10 for New York flights from Berlin Tegel. This applies to travel from Nov. 1, 2011, to Jan. 31, 2012, from $281 per person, one way (including taxes, charges and topbonus miles).
