Today, we woke up disoriented after last night’s festivities. An interesting night, to say the least and the most. We became fast friends with the owner of Boat Bar and became friendly with all of the waiters on that street of bars. Today, our plan was to hop around the island and visit some of Phuket’s best resorts. As the luxury properties are located away from the mess of Patong Beach, we had a 45-minute drive to our first resort. Our first stop was Andara, which was our favorite. The general manager, Daniel, warmly greeted us and provided us a beautiful transfer from our new hotel in Phuket. The property was stunning and everything was in full swing. We were showed just 1 large 6-bedroom villa, as the entire resort was sold out. It was breathtaking. We snapped some photos below, you can just imagine you and 11 of your friends take over this palace for a week! Daniel set Josh and I up for lunch by the pool and we chatted with some guests. After a few cosmos on the rocks and delicious lunch in the sun, we headed over to Trisara, another Steele Luxury Travel recommended resort in Phuket. Trisara is one of the few resorts that have direct beach access. It as absolutely stunning. However, I preferred Andara as the style was more modern and up to date. However, They are both equally gorgeous. We had plans to visit Amanpuri, the first and flagship property of Aman Resorts worldwide, but the sun was beginning to set and we wee pooped.
After a swim at our hotel pool that evening, Daniel from Andara gave us a great recommendation for dinner. He said he would stop by and have a drink with us. We arrived at Lims restaurant at 10pm. Another Daniel, from Switzerland greeted us and told us that the Daniel from Andara was on his way with a friend, Leo from Shanghai. It started to drizzle so Josh and I quickly finished our Papaya salads and joined Daniel and Leo inside. They invited us to join them at a private party at one of the villas at Amanpuri! How exciting! No need for a site inspection now 😉 we drove about a half hour to reach Amanpuri. The villa was massive. Guests form all over the world, a DJ, multiple levels, pools and great views, from what we can see. The villa was lit up with votive candles and lights. Food was served and drinks were plentiful. It was fantastic to be at an -in-the-know party on the other side of the earth. The party was filled with owners of this and that, celebrity who and what and we truly had a blast. As the party dwindled down, we all piled into various cars and headed towards the beach and pool bar where we joined some other guests. A few cocktails later, it was clear to everyone that it was time to call it a night. Josh and I called for a taxi, and passed out in our Patong Beach Hotel. Tomorrow, evening, we head to Bangkok!
