Capella Hotels and Resorts has taken over management of Saint Lucia’s the 124-room Discovery at Marigot Bay following its acquisition by a development group. Capella Hotels Chairman and CEO Horst Schulze said renovations will soon begin and are slated for completion by mid 2014. The hotel will be rebranded as the Capella Marigot Bay.

Sean Carney, a longtime Capella Hotels employee, is serving as the interim general manager.
The properties 124 rooms include 57 suites, most of which feature plunge pools.
It’s been a busy year for Capella. It will open the 297-room RIMBA Jimbaran Bali in September as a sister hotel to the 368-room AYANA Resort and Spa Bali. In April it opened the Capella Washington D.C. Georgetown.
