It was 420, No, not Earth Day, rather arguably the most important date in cannabis culture (4/20).

While not for everyone, marijuana is undeniably popular in the U.S. and abroad and legal for recreational use in multiples U.S. states. Perhaps none more celebrated and publicized than Colorado.
In celebration of pot smokers’ annual observance, here are three hotels where travelers can get Rocky Mountain high in the Centennial State.

Nativ Hotel

Where: Denver, Colorado

The first upscale hotel in Colorado to openly cater to stoners, Nativ Hotel is located in Denver’s LoDo neighborhood, features a handful of luxury amenities and tons to do on-site.
What does Nativ Hotel offer? Well, just about everything.

“We have something for everyone here at Nativ,” owner Mike Alexander told Fox 31 Denver last year. “We have door bells on rooms, living plant walls on our outdoor patios where guests can consume marijuana on their stays, the Stereo Lounge in the basement, and original artwork throughout the hotel. We even have a coffee bar specializing in CBD infused lattes.”

In addition to the stereo lounge and cafe, Nativ Hotel boasts a champagne bar and a biergarten (beer garden) where guests can pour their own craft beer.

Hotel San Ayre, A Bud+Breakfast Property

Where: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Colorado Springs is just a 90-minute drive south of Denver and is home to Hotel San Ayre.
The contemporary lodge boasts more than half a dozen rooms, a pair of suites, and two separate cottages (pictured above). While it lacks the bustling downtown vibe of Nativ Hotel, the three-star property features stellar views and is a short walk to several local attractions, including Red Rock Canyon Park, the Garden of the Gods and Old Colorado City.

For smokers traveling on a budget, Hotel San Ayre is the ideal accommodation, with room rates starting at $129 per night and suites and cottages starting at $219 and $279, respectively.

Bud+Breakfast at the Adagio

Where: Denver, Colorado

Like Nativ Hotel, the Adagio Bud+Breakfast is located in Colorado’s capital. And like Hotel San Ayre, the Adagio is a property of the MaryJane Group.

Comprised of six private suites, this three-star hotel is conveniently located less than two miles from the Colorado Convention Center and boasts free Wi-Fi, making it the perfect stay for smoking business travelers passing through Denver.

Perhaps the best part, though, a full hot breakfast is provided each morning.

Travelers should be aware that rates here are slightly higher than Hotel San Ayre, considering each room is a suite and guests will be situated in downtown Denver not far from the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and other attractions.
